macTomato collects ZERO personal data.

We do not track you, we do not require account registration, we do not use third-party tracking or analytics SDKs, and we do not transmit any data over the internet. All timer data, statistics, and settings stay 100% locally on your Mac.

1. Data Collection & Usage

macTomato does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal information. Specifically:

No Account Required: You never need to sign up, sign in, or provide an email address or password to use macTomato.
No Network Transmission: The application does not communicate with any remote servers.
No Third-Party SDKs: There are no advertising, tracking, or crash analytics SDKs embedded in the app.

2. Local Data Storage

All data generated by your usage of macTomato (e.g., focus session durations, task tags, and user preferences) is stored strictly in your local macOS App Sandbox directory:

~/Library/Containers/com.szq.mactomato/Data/Library/Application Support/MacTomato/

You may inspect, export, or permanently delete this data at any time via the in-app Settings or by uninstalling the application.

3. macOS Widget & App Group

macTomato includes a desktop and Notification Center Widget extension. The Widget reads countdown and progress information written by the main application via local macOS App Group (group.com.szq.mactomato). This data exchange takes place entirely on your device using local system memory and preferences, and never leaves your computer.

4. System Permissions

macTomato only requests user authorization when strictly necessary for its features:

Notifications: Used solely to alert you when a focus or break phase is completed.
Launch at Login: Optional and user-controlled via standard macOS SMAppService.

macTomato does NOT request Accessibility, Screen Recording, or Full Disk Access permissions.
